About Me
I am Leila Zelman, a Junior currently in my first year in the Global Studies Program at Watkinson School. I am a young Jewish-American woman who is interested in History, Architecture, and learning more about the world around me. My dream is to study the history of architecture and historical preservation in college and go on to help preserve and restore historic landmarks across the world. My dream vacation is a train ride across the Italian countryside (of course, stopping in Rome on the way). I am a natural leader and a loud voice wherever I go, and I love getting into deep conversations about absolutely nothing or the deepest topic I can think of (especially ancient history!). Since I was little, I have loved the creative arts, and I am currently in the Watkinson Upper School Choir. Through choir, I have performed at countless sports games, and in May 2025, we competed in a high school singing competition. Sports have always been a part of my life, and I am a lifelong UConn Huskies fan. You will see me at almost every home basketball or football game.
