Girls Varsity Soccer I have played on the Girls Varsity Soccer team at Watkinson for all three years of high school so far. Two out of three of my years on the team we have made it to the finals of our league tournament, but have sadly been runners up both times. Being a student athlete is tough and takes a lot of work ethic and perseverance. Through soccer I have learned dedication, teamwork, and patience.
Head Manager for Track & Field This spring will be my third year managing the Track and Field team at Watkinson. Last year I was "promoted" to head manager and able to be an official for Track and Field meets, so I could measure times, jumps, and throws. As a manager I help out with everything to the practice schedule and meet signups, to carrying equipment for the athletes. I am proud of my position as the head manager, and through the role I have gained more knowledge then I could have ever known before stepping into this role. I have learned organization, leadership, and much more.
Jobs
Staff Member at Camp Laurelwood I have been going to Camp Laurelwood, a Jewish summer camp for 10 years and in the summer of 2025, I became a volunteer Staff in Training (SIT). I spent four weeks working as an SIT with 4-12 year olds and then I got promoted to a full time paid counselor for the last three weeks of camp. As I was a camper there, I was able to really connect with my campers, even when I was dealing with very difficult situations. I earned both SIT of the week and counselor of the week awards during the summer and gained endless compassion, independence, and resilience through this job. I will be working there again in the summer of 2026!
Sugarbush Ski & Ride School For the past three years I have worked as a ski instructor at Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. I typically work with 4-12 year olds in group lessons, but I also teach private lessons. Through my work on the mountain not only have I become a better skier, but I have also learned, responsibility, empathy, and how to put other's needs above my own. I am happy to be working at Sugarbush again for the 2025-2026 ski season.
